ASG CEO, Gavin Wishart, has been Chair of ARPAS-UK, the UK Drone Association, for the past year. He opened the AGM, held on 19th March 2019 at Cranfield University, welcoming the Members and speakers.
There were presentations on drone journalism in Humanitarian and Conflict Zones, DJI VP of Policy & Legal Affairs, Brendan Schulman spoke on how technology and innovation will help solve RPAS safety challenges, Ian Dugmore, outgoing CEO of CHIRP spoke about the human factor in incident reporting as well as Regulation and Standards presentations too.
With networking opportunities, a tour of the Aerospace Integration Research Centre’s amazing facilities, as well as meeting the students about to take part in the BAE Swarm Challenge, it was a great day for the drone industry to come together as an Association. ASG recognises the importance of such a Trade Association and is proud to play its part in supporting the industry as a whole.
