Environmental Sustainability Policy Statement

As an office we know that we generate waste products. However, as we strive for excellence in every aspect of our business, we are committed to minimising the environmental impacts of the business operation.

The context to ASG's environmental aims includes the following:

  • The policy will be delivered using an environmental management system ISO14001 and identified and relevant environment and sustainability regulation.

  • By encouraging energy and water efficient practices to reduce carbon emissions and water consumption ASG aims to achieve its ambition to be carbon neutral by 2050.

  • By considering waste as a resource, recognising its value, encouraging prevention and reduction, reuse of resources prior to recycling or disposal and joining with procurement activities to ensure assets are used to their fullest extent and aim to develop and deliver the Circular Economy principles.

  • Aim to continuously improve our environmental performance particularly with regards to our establishing and following a waste disposal hierarchy. This includes but is not limited to:

    • Where possible we will use recycled or ecologically friendly paper.

    • Will we aim to reduce single-use plastic water bottles, by encouraging people to bring their own bottles and/or providing water and drinking glasses on site.

    • We will use ‘waste’ paper for notepads unless confidentiality may be compromised.

    • Reduce our consumption of resources and improve the efficiency of those resources by printing double sided where practicable.

    • Recycle all paper products, ink or toner cartridges.

    • Recycle batteries where possible.

  • Comply as a minimum with all relevant environmental legislation as well as other environmental requirements.

  • Engaging with our employees and local organisations to develop resilient partnerships that enhance the community and local economy.

  • By reducing our transport and emissions footprint from all forms of transport including
commuting, fleet management, business travel and deliveries.

  • By encouraging and embedding sustainable and life-cycle considerations into ASG procurement decisions.

  • By putting in place appropriate controls delivered via our Management
System, to prevent pollution and work to reduce emissions and discharges to air,
